About / LAWRENCE TEH

Building products with a business owner’s perspective.

I’m Lawrence, co-founder and technical lead at ONNI. I translate the needs of the business into products and take care of development and maintenance.

Background and approach

I started in game client development at IGS, then became Game Client Lead at Wit Software, working on client architecture, performance and team collaboration.

My work now centres on ONNI’s commerce and operational systems. Being involved in the business means considering how customers buy and how staff handle each order when setting development priorities.

I also build caption and video tools to explore AI in content production. Each case explains what the product can currently do and what still needs to be tested.

What matters in a collaboration

01

Understand the work

Find out who uses the product, how they complete a task and where they get stuck before defining the problem.

02

Choose what to build first

Agree on priorities and scope so time and budget go towards the features that matter now.

03

Plan for everyday use

Consider daily tasks, access to records and who will maintain or take over the work after delivery.
